The God of ALL Comfort



Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
(2 Cor. 1:3-4, NIV)

Did you ever consider that the reason you endured a painful trial in your life was so that by enduring it, you could then minister to others in a way not possible before? It could be, and whether or not it applies in your case, rest assured that God will comfort you during the "storms of your life".

Christians are not exempt from trials and troubles. But we have a faithful God who will see us through any storm. Note the use of the word "all" - it will appears many, many times throughout the New Testament. God will comfort us in not one, not two, not 108 trials - but in all of them.

This great promise from our Lord is fulfilled by faith in His son, Jesus Christ. Just trust Him - He's in control and will guide you through the storm, no matter what it is or how bad it seems. And when it's over, you'll be equipped to help others through their storm! What a marvelous relationship to have with our Lord...even the hard times result in our growing in His great grace and love.
